Creatives to Diversify Your Scroll

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, our D1A community curated a list of creatives that can help diversify your scroll. They are artists, designers, writers and content creators inspiring us and breaking through on social.

@lilnativeboy: A college student, community organizer and a staunch advocate for Indigenous peoples worldwide, who has personally experienced many of the issues that he writes about and works to remediate.

@autumn.peltier: A 15-year-old, clean water activist. She’s a member of the Wikwemikong First Nation in northern Ontario and the Chief Water Commissioner for @anishinabeknation.

@among_the_wildflowerss: A Naturopathic Graduate, with a passion for indigenous plant medicine connecting others to their Medicine, Ancestors, and the land for deep healing.

@joeyymontoya: Founder of @urbannativeera, a platform dedicated to reclaiming Indigenous culture and bringing awareness to issues faced by Indigenous people in the 21st century.

@matikawilbur: The creative behind @project_562 a project dedicated to photographing over 562 Indigenous Nations, and a host of the @amrpodcast, a platform dedicated to discussing Native relationships to land, ancestors and to each other.

@xiuhtezcatl: An Indigenous environmental activist, hip hop artist and author who uses his platform to advocate for climate change. He has addressed the UN and given TED Talks all before the age of 19. Recently, he announced EarthTracks, an app that allows users to measure their environmental impact.

@Maybell.eequay: A jewelry maker and writer who honors her Native American culture through her thoughtfully created, inclusive designs.

@nolanomura: Water-based photographer and videographer who shares his adventures below the surface of the ocean and above the clouds in the mountains through his work.

@chelseakauai: Hawaii-based creative who uses her platform to document her exploration through over 53 countries.

@nahkobear: Lead musician of, “Nahko and Medicine to the People” who uses his music as a journal, documenting his journey toward personal, spiritual and social healing.
